1. How do I register for the challenge?

2. What is the duration of the challenge?
You will receive an email and video message introduction upon registration, then the challenge spans seven days, starting on Saturday, May 4th and ending on May 10th.
3. How much time will this take each day?
Listening to each challenge will take less than five minutes, and each challenge itself is designed to take less than ten minutes, fitting easily into your daily routine!
4. Why do I need to download a new app? Can’t this just be over email or Zoom?
Marco Polo offers the opportunity to connect in a much more personal and easy way than any other platform. You receive a video and send a video with the push of a button and can watch/respond at your convenience.
Scheduling Zoom meetings is difficult for parents with children on different schedules, living all over the world in different time zones. Email is impersonal and feels like work.
Consider Marco Polo as a way to “FaceTime at your convenience,” allowing you to listen, pause, replay, and respond whenever you’re ready.
Marco Polo is free, and along with your registration for this challenge, you’ll receive Mia’s code to try the “plus” version for two months for free — no credit card necessary. This allows you to fast-forward, rewind, watch in double-speed, and take notes right on the app as you listen.
5. Okay, the app sounds great, but is it hard to learn? I’m not tech savvy and do not have the energy to learn something new right now.
This is the least complicated app you’ll ever use. Grandparents use it with ease! You will also receive a quick video tutorial from Mia in your email before the challenge starts if you need a little extra support!
6. For what age range is this challenge?
Each day presents a new intention with ideas/suggestions for playfulness and connection suitable for toddlers to tweens. Rather than giving specific actions, each intention is open to interpretation and designed to be personalized by you!
6. What if I miss a day or get sick?
No worries. The video messages will be there waiting for you when you’re ready! Eventually, the “Share Cast” will be closed, but not until all participants have had a chance to see all video messages.
7. Am I just getting videos from you or am I sending videos to you, too?
It’s up to you! Participants can send a short video response (up to 30 seconds at a time) each day to ask questions, share how the challenge went for them, or just check in and say, “I did it!”
8. Only $7.99?? Why is this so cheap?
The challenge is affordable so that it’s accessible to a wide range of parents.
9. Why does this cost money?
The cost helps cover the planning and time spent in communication, executing the challenge. It also serves as a motivational nudge to YOU to stay committed to the daily challenges!
10. When do the videos come? I'm in a different time zone than you!
Mia will send each day's challenge out the evening before (her time, Central Standard Time) so that folks on the other side of the globe will have them for the day and early-risers in the western hemisphere will have them in the morning!
11. Is there another way to pay for this challenge? I've never made a purchase through this platform...
ConvertKit uses Stripe, a well-known payment processing platform with fraud detection, to store payment and personal data securely. They are currently working to offer more payment options, but a credit card through this site is the only payment I can accept for this particular offer.
